Steff Burrows (Gr.8) is one of 5 surfers invited to participate in the SA Junior U16 Surfing Trials to be held in Durban on 10 and 11 December 2011.

The SA Junior team will compete in the World Championships in Panama in the second quarter of 2012.
Steff is stoked and will be going full out to earn his National Colours!

Michelle Fischer

• Michelle ended 3rd at the South African Junior Nationals Open tournament in the u/14 girls section in December 2010.
• She was invited to the National closed competition in April where the top 10 players in South Africa in there relevant age groups play to obtain South African Chess colours. This was the 4th time she was invited to this prestigious tournament. She did not obtain SA colors this year.
• Michelle played in the Common Wealth Chess Championship during June 2011.
• Michelle played various tournaments during 2011
  • She performed well in all the WP school competitions and obtained her WP Schools Colours in the u/16 age group (boys and girls)
  • At the regional Western Cape School Chess tournament she came second. This is the top girls and boys u/16 from SWD, Boland and WP Schools.
  • Michelle came second at the inaugural WPCCU open in the B section
  • Michelle has been selected best lady chess player in two WPCCU Opens, A-section this year. She is playing excellent chess at the moment beating players with 200 rating points and more above her rating on a regular basis in the Western Cape.
• One of her highlights this year was when she represented Parel Vallei in the Top Schools u/17 competition on board one. Parel Vallei did exceptionally well this year and Michelle is looking forward to represent Parel Vallei at the Top Schools Nationals in 2012.

Annamart Laubscher het die SA Duathlon kampioenskappe (Saterdag 18 Junie; Kaapstad stadion) in haar ouderdomsgroep (o’19; dames) gewen; daarvoor het sy ‘n goue medalje gekry. Sy het ook ‘n prysgeld van R1250 ontvang as algehele wenner van die 16-19 ouderdomsgroep. Die afstande was 5km hardloop/ 22km fietsry/ 2.5km hardloop.

Annamart Laubscher het op 15 Mei 2011 aan die WP-Tweekamp kampioenskappe deelgeneem en as wenner uit die stryd getree. Sy is gekies om aan die SA-tweekamp kampeionskappe op 18 Junie in Kaapstad te gaan deelneem.
